I think that people can do what they want and I dont believe that this world will ever run out of "the world's best natural resources." Why do you say this? Well because look at how long oil's been used for gas and stuff and oil is legal so it's being used in huge ammounts everyday. Marijuana is illegal and anti-drug groups have poisoned some peoples minds to believe that it's bad, so that same person who fills their take with $100 for gas probably doesnt smoke weed. My point? If weed becomes extinct I wont care because when it happens I doubt I'll even be alive lol.
