    HELP ME PLEASE.

I was wandering about how big I should make the holes in this system I am putting together. The slab tray is 8inches wide 42inches long and 4 inches deep. I am setting up an aeroponics system. How many plants should I put on each tray. I might use the SOG method or I might just let them grow.

Oh yeah what do you think of this light http://4hydroponics.com/clone/sunleavessatellite4.asp

Thank you ahead of time for the help

I think you would be crazy to buy that for $554 plus shipping probably $600. If I were you I would go on ebay and buy a 400 mh for $120 with shipping and be done with it. I surely doubt it out performes a 1000 mh. I even saw those on ebay for half that price that site is selling it for. maybe you can just buy it of ebay!! The holes on the settup are as far as you want them to be, if you want more plants in a smaller area I would put them 6 in.

yeah, you can get a HydroFarm 1000 watt for around 200, easy...
42" long isn't much room to work with...I'd go with as many as 8 plants as few as 4 per slab. The more holes the better if you mean for drainage.

HOw many watts will I need for 40 plants. Each system will hold 20 plants SO should I just buy 2 400 watts or 2 600 watts. Should I get a switchable ballast so I could switch from HPS to MH.

I would give each plant 7 to 8 inchs of space to grow in. I would use one HPS and one MH. A 400 watt is good for 4 square feet of primary light. A 600 is like 5.5 feet. Think light tracks. I would line the edges with soil so you dont waste light untill you get more sites.

    250w covers 2x3
    400watt covers 4x4
    600watt covers 6x6
    1000watt covers 8x8

then you add a 4 foot or 6 foot light mover...hmm, You do the math.lw

What is the best hydroponic system to use. I was planning on building the hydroponic system Aerojet. I will put a link up in a minute. But what is the easiest way to grow. Which will have better results. Should I just use the bucket system. I would like to have at least 30 plants usuing SOG and Supercropping as the growing methods. What lights would you experts suggest on that. Should I use a switchable ballast. Or will it burn up.

For lights the Multivapor is wonderfull in terms of nanometer spectrum produced. I suggest a 1000 watt and a track but thats just me. Organic aero is amazing. Dont run your medium to wet though or you will run into low ph problems. Gro-rocks and coco fiber for carbon, calcium and zeaton. Youll have to run a filter so the fiber doesnt clog your sprayers. If you build it with pvc and misters you can make a gutter with tons of holes on the bottom and have a mesh screen to filter. Then have a normal return gutter under that one. Just an idea.

You can put a filter at the end of the pipe also which pops off for easy cleaning. Bubblers stones will eleminate the need for a filter

    HELP ME PLEASE.

This is the system I am gonna build http://www.gchydro.com/aerojet/HSAJ6X2.asp

It is just way too expensive for me to buy. I will be using four trays on each system I will have to systems. Each will have two trays that have 4-5inch holes in them and two that have 6-4inch holes in them. I will have a 40 gallon reservior that will supply water and nutes to both systems that will be connected. I will have a Eco Plus 230 pump and either 2 400watt switchable ballast lights or 2 600watt switchable lights. From the pics can any body help me with what parts I will need to build this system. Or how to build an system just like it but maybe eaiser to build.

Or should I just use the hydroponic bucket system.
