hey,

I thought I would share some readings and pictures that I've been checking out today that I found all very interesting. Even if you don't want to read, check out the pictures I have attached, and if you do want a very interesting read on the healing powers of this magic plant, that dates back thousands of years, then read this tidbit:

"Cannabis Sativa is an organism whose variety of past and present uses is astounding. Centuries before the birth of Christ, its fiberous, medicinal, and euphoric qualities were established. The fiber from the tall stalks were woven into ropes and garments.

Besides using the resin to 'stimulate the nerves,' the fresh flowers were used to treat open wounds; the oil from the seeds was rubbed on skin infections and also used for worming; and the fresh juice of the plant took the throb out of a scorpion and snake bites, as well as minor burns.

Cannabis has been prepared as a poultice, solution, powder, extract, and inhalation; its properties affected tetanus, cholera, black water fever, lerposy, rabies, anthrax, neuralgia, eczema, ulcers, whooping cough, diarrhoea. Blood poisoning was treated by swallowing the smoke, while dysentery and hernias were relieved by passing smoke through the rectum. Another anti-biotic chemical in the seeds treated gonorrhea, dandruff, and turberculosis.

In more pschologically related disorders, cannabis has treated some forms of epilepsy, catalepsy, migraine, mania, loss of appetite, delirium tremens, nightmares, insomnia, stuttering (with remarkable results), nervous vomiting and depression. Cannabis has treated sexual problems involving impotency, frigidity, reduced desire, and menopause (for the ladies )

In short, the leaves, seeds, flowers, and fresh juice contain sedative, pain-killing, antispasmodic, diuretic, hypnotic, digestive, antibiotic, and astringent properties-benefits which of few, if any, other plants can offer."

Wow. Just wow.

I was in awe when I read that. Cannabis is truly more amazing than people even think.

Anyways, that was taken from this book:

The Gourmet Guide to Grass:
by Mahash Isyurhash and Garry Rusoff

This book has everything. From recipes, to hiding your stash, a huge write up on all kinds of hash, hash oil, what to do when you're high, what to expect when you smoke it, tells you all the ways of how to take cannabis, to share with your fellow tokers, what to avoid when scoring "grass," yadda yadda. A nice read if anyone wants to check it out. It's an older book from the mid-70's, so I don't know if it's still around.

And, if you have made it this far and read this much of my thread, I thank you.
