2nd time grower wants oppinions on plants/setup

    Hey all,

I am just about complete with making the "grow area". I've attatched a pic of that (its hard to see). its pretty much an "indoor greenhouse" that my finace and I biult.

its basicly about 4.5ft tall and about 60-70in wide. right now I think i've got 17 plants of undertermined sex in there. they were started on January 1st of '06, and I'm almost positive they are about a month behind schedule, due ot poor lighting last month

    I have a few questions:

#1: Will the set up be ok, or should I change it in some way? its got a box fan on top pulling air out, and one pulling air back in, I'm not sure what type of light I've got right now, whats hanging above them is a "shop light" with two 49' grow bulbs in.

#2:About how tall should a plant thats almost 3 months old be?, do mine look ok? I can provide more pics if needed for assessment.

#3: I've got them all on 12/12 and they are growing fairly regualrly, good progression since I bought new lights. They are planted in regualr potting soil in bio-degradable pete pots. Do they need extra food at this point? or should I wait?

#4: How early in the stage of growing can you tell wether a plant is Male or female?

I'm sorry if these seem like dumb questions. this grow was started as I "I wonder if these dumb seeds actually GROW"..turns out they do. I was gonna just off them, but I got attatched to them. and now its turned into a hobby/ something to do.
The first time I grew was 2 years ago while I was sill in Highschool, however those plants didnt even make it THIS far..

I'd really appreciate any advice or insight on these little plants. I'd like at least one of them to be female  but if not, thats ok too
