about cleaning..

yesterday my friend showed me his pipe and it was super clean, he said he soaked it in bleach, i was WTF and i refused to smoke out of it. and he said you can smoke out of it and be fine...i was wondering if cleaning a pipe with bleach is ok...and would if we boil it afterwards would it be ok then

Should be ok if bolied in clean water after bleaching. If you're still not sure, let it sit in the sun for a day and all the chlorine will evaporate. If it doesn't you should be able to smell it right away. I used to clean aquarium stuff with bleach all the time and after would soak in water in the sun and then a day in the sun to dry. I would then re-use said stuff in other aquariums and never had a problem.
