    White widow Grow journal

    Hello,

These are my Nirvana WW plants at day 2 from sprouting out of the dirt. I am using a 400 watt mh conversion bulb, with a fan and light running 18/6 but still seems pretty hot is that okay?

Do they look good for day 2? I also have 6 Papaya seeds soaking in the paper towel method and waiting for them to sprout, 3 south african durban poison x skunk #1 by Sam the Skunkman, that are freebies, and waiting for my Nirvan White Rhino seeds to arrive in the mail to plant too I plan to germinate four of them. Sound okay?

I do have a 400 watt Hps light also that I will use a little later.

Please suggest anything as that would be great.

Some of those seedlings look like they're stretching.

How far away is your light? What are the temps?

Or maybe it seems that way because I'm confusing a twig for the base of a stem. Because I'm so HIGH.

    Hey,

The light is about 24-30 inches away from the plants, because I'm afraid they'll burn out the plants because they are still small, should I lower them?

As for the temperature I don't really know because I don't have a thermometer, when I stick my hand under the light it feels about 95-100 degrees or so.

Should I mist my plants every couple of hours because it looks like the light is drying up the soil so quickly. Like if I don't mist the soil the cups get really light and look dried up, they are jiffy pots, if not I have been doing so.

that temp is too hot, what kind of grow room are you growing in. you should get an extractor fan sucking hot air out and have a vent allowing cool air in.

    Get a thermoMETER.

The hand... well, the Greeks stopped using the hand for temperature checks thousands of years ago...

    Hello,

As for the temps I got a thermometer and it says 80

Here are my plants at day 3, do they seem a little small for day 3, and does it seem like the leaves are wilting a bit? I'v seen many other's post, and at day 3 they already have their 1st set of new leaves out, and going on the second set. Not talking about the round leaves but the real pointy leaf. Sorry if I sound so paranoid, its just that my other 2 grows that weren't successful grew slowely and the leaves would curl down.

Should I mist them every couple of hours?, because the soil seems dry and the cups are real light. It seems that the mh light is drying up the soil really fast.

That light is probably giving off much more heat then you think. When I turn on my HPS system I've gotten temperatures as high as 104 with no fans etc. Even now with a cool mist humidifier and an exhaust fan temperatures are 92 and 40% humidity. Go to eBay and search "Bake A Round" it's supposed to be a cheap alternative to the Cool Tube.
