Although I do not care much for most "feminism", as defined by many of the people in bully pulpit, this issue has nothing to do with it. The religious fanatics that scream "baby-killer", and worse things, at women and girls that go for abortions should not be allowed to do this. The ability to visit a medical facility for this procedure, without added trauma and threats, is a basic human right.

If I had a daughter that was raped and impregnated by a subhuman piece of shit, or a wife that got pregnant because her birth control didn't work, I'd like to think that they could have this procedure without some religous assholes trying to prevent them.

I was living and working in New York, and Brooklyn, when it was a "jungle" - and abortion helped reduce the amount of criminals born to the lowlife population. I don't have the book on hand, but Freakanomics, by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, explains this theory.

A pre-emptive strike against individuals genetically and sociologically predisposed to a life of crime, insanity, and worthlessness is the best thing we have right now. Abortions and war are a last resort, but each are sometimes necessary. We donâ??t need some retarded christers outside the facilities creating problems and fear for the women trying to do society a favor.

I am not implying that every fetus that is aborted is a potential criminal: It doesnâ??t matter, because a fetus is nothing more than a parasite in the hostâ??s body - and the host has the right to shed this unwanted thing whenever she so desires.

I don't buy this "every sperm is sacred" (Monty Python satirical song) bullshit. If bin laden, hitler, mao, stalin, many popes and other religous leaders, criminals, etc. and others of their ilk had been aborted the world would have been a better place. If anybody disagrees with this, they are insane - plain and simple.
