weed in the Dominican Republic

High there, I'm a new guy to forums and not sure how this works. Here's my question, I'm going to Punta Cana with my family( wife and 2 girls). We are staying at the Paradisus in Punta cana, I would like to bring some weed with me but I don't think it's a good idea to travel with it. I'd like to know if anyone has ever been there and copped from the natives. I'de like to enjoy paradise in an elevated state, please help. Thanks.

Hey, I've been told the weed in the DR is pretty bad. Can anyone tell me why its so bad? And if anyone could also give me some hotspots in the DR to pic up some grass that would be amazing. Thanks.
