Pet Emergency: PLEASE HELP!!!

Betty passed this morning. Apparently it was distemper. You know, I have always thought I was pretty tough inside. This has broken me in half.

Look, dickhead... the dog didn't have a problem 3 months ago. Otherwise, I'd have done something. I didn't just put her outside and ignore her. She was put to sleep because of distemper. It's not my fault that the dog apparently didn't have her shots. I was only holding it for someone else and making sure it was fed and taken care of. Talk all you want. You're not accomplishing anything.

seriously though, i'm not trying to come down on you, you should've taken that dog to the vet the minute it showed signs of being sick.

This is a little long, but PLEASE bare with me....
My girlfriend has a puppy that I've been keeping at my house, because she can't have pets in her apartment. The dog has been staying here for a few months now. When it first got here we kept it inside. My mom was saying that it had worms so we had to put it outside...

that shows you guys knew she had a problem early on, and that she's been outside a while...

She was fine up until the past few days...
...I went out to feed the dogs when I got home. When I approached the fence, she was lying on the ground on her side, just staring at me. My first thought was that she was paralyzed, as she usually jumps up and gets all excited to see me. I also noticed that she had a lot less weight on her. Well, I picked her up and brought her inside. She couldn't hardly stand up on her own without falling down. She REFUSES to eat. She drinks water on her own every once in awhile. She lays around with the muscles in her legs jumping and twitching. Occasionally, she whines. Most of the day, she just lays around for a bit, then gets up and wanders around aimlessly... .

a few days ago you found her in pain and still didn't do shit. you waited till last night to do something... and even then all you did come here... none of us are vets.

Someone give me some useful advice here. My girlfriend is crying her eyes out and I don't know what to do.

allthou in less offencive words i agree with big homie even i said last ngiht take the dog to a rsvpa as they probably wouldnt charge u as muhc but u obviously had lost intrest and nodded off to bed. u should have done something. especialy since you knew it had worms why did u leave the dog with worms for so long? de-worming is standard and cheap
