    Pet Emergency: PLEASE HELP!!!

As far as I know, they had not given her shots yet. I had been doing some reading on the internet today and found that a lot of the symptoms she's having were just like the symptoms from distemper. Assuming that she hasn't had shots, that was my first guess at what it might be. And yes, I understand that loving dogs and taking care of them are two different things. I have been taking care of this dog. I've been feeding/watering her daily, playing with her, etc... I leave for a few days and rely on my cousin's word that she will feed the dog along with her own (she knew that the other dog was keeping her from eating and that I had to stand there and make sure she got fed). I come home and find her in this condition. I am not blaming it on my cousin, but I could have known about this sooner, had she actually been checking in on the dogs while I was out. I can understand the hard feelings about people who don't take care of their pets and so on... but I do not mistreat animals and never would. Can you just drop an animal off at a clinic and they take her in and tend to her? Even if I couldn't get her back? I'd rather that happen than to watch her die.
I am very sorry this is happening. I've had tears roll down my cheeks for that little girl. I get very emotional. I think I love animals too much if there is such a thing. Yes, if you take her to the vet, ER vet, clinic.....they will help her. Even if you just drop her and leave. They will do their best to treat her and if she can be made healthy, they'll try to find her a home. Sometimes a client has lost a beloved "baby" and needs a new "baby" to love, sometimes they go to Save A Pet or Best Friends...............right now she's sick hon, get her help. If you can't go right now, make sure she's kept warm, hold her as much as you can, make a space on your bed. You don't say if she is evacuating or not. Is her stool runny? Do you have any pedalite at home to give her if she's dehyrated?
Give her a kiss for me and all the best to you both.

I don't know how these things work (with the vet and all). I appreciate all of your input, everyone. I will let you all know what happens tomorrow. Thank you all.
Apology accepted and I'm sorry I made you feel worse then you already did.

Her stool is very runny. Her urine has an orange-ish tint to it. She's been very lethargic. I believe we do have some pedialite. She has been drinking though, so I didn't know if she would still dehydrate or not. I cannot make her drink for anything, but when my girlfriend tries, she will drink. I think it has something to do with that other dog not letting her eat. (she doesn't do much when I'm in the room with her)

Get on the phone now!!! your in dallas homie, not the sticks - there are dozens of 24 hour pet emergency hospitals in your area. Call them and ask what you can do. they are animal lovers too... even if you don't have the cash they will still probably tell you to bring the pup in...
