w4terb0ng Reviewed by w4terb0ng on . Pet Emergency: PLEASE HELP!!! This is a little long, but PLEASE bare with me.... My girlfriend has a puppy that I've been keeping at my house, because she can't have pets in her apartment. The dog has been staying here for a few months now. When it first got here we kept it inside. My mom was saying that it had worms so we had to put it outside. I never saw the worms in her feces or anything at first. Anyhow, we put the dog outside in a fence. She was fine up until the past few days. My cousin, who also stays here, got Rating: 5

no worries. i just wanted everyone to know that i did not purposely let this happen. i came here for advice because for as long as i've been coming here, there have always been people here willing to help in a time of need. so i just thought that maybe someone else had experienced something similar and might have something helpful to say about the situation, outside of taking her to the vet because i couldn't afford it. thank you all. she will be missed.
    no more suffering.

THIS IS WHY FUCKING RETARDS(sorry if you take offence, this is to everyone) SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE PETS. IF YOU CAN NOT PROVIDE THE CARE AND LOVE THEY NEED, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Don't worry about it dude....if you are honest with yourself and you did do all you possibly could for the dog then that is fair enough...

again dude im sorry to hear that

    Pet Emergency: PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm very sorry to hear that she has passed. I was reading this thread last night, and was practically crying 'cause I wanted to be able to do something to help.
You tried to do the best you could, I can tell you loved her.

I guess the final lesson is for your girlfriend. Don't get a pet if you can't keep it in your own home and provide it with love and at least basic care. Shots are very important, especially for puppies. When warmer weather comes there is flea/tick protection, heartworm protection on top of a good quality dog food and the annual physical and shots. It's not inexpensive, by any means and people really need to think about how they are going to care for a pet, not just get one impulsively 'cause they think it's "cute".

    Again, my condolences.
