i use bleach to clean them twice a year. once in the winter and once in the summer. and if they are empty for a while i wash each with bleach and water before depositing anything inside. black mold stinks and it does not taste that good either.

i put a two and a half ounce top bud into an old curing jar, checked on it three weeks later and it stunk and was covered in mold..and went in the bin.
    i was gutted.
