You sound like a smart and responsible young person. You should do well in life with that attitude.

I thought for a second and decided just to shoot straight. I said "I take complete responsibility, and will talk with a clear head if you will too."

We then discussed it all, no arguements. My dad used to smoke, and my mom is OK with it morally but they decided since it is illegal, they just couldn't allow me to keep it in the house. They basically suggested that I could smoke elsewhere but not keep anything in the house and if I get busted, I'm in big trouble.

They then asked me if I had anything else and I decided to fess up and be completely honest. I handed over my eighth and as a result, they are now proud of me and trust me and feel that I have matured, but I am stuck now morally. I really would like to smoke (I'm just a weekend warrior) but now I feel I would be betraying their trust to just go out and buy a new piece and pick up some bud. I think if I talked to them a bit, maybe they would let me keep a bit in the house and smoke on occasion. What would you do?

you parents said they dont want it in the huse right and u gave em the 8th so jusr go up to your dad and say can i have a joint or 2 prome that 8th please im just goin down the road ..hopefully they will carry the whole ''hes rosponsible enoutgh to let us administer him a certain amount'' and give u sum if not it all.

the way i see it you gave the the 8th for them to hold for you not confiscated totally ..

It sounds like theres not much you can do. Maybe eventually try to get them cool with you doing it in the house since your not gonna get busted at home by the cops probably.

Yeah thanks Awill, he is definitely the man although I've been on a Flaming Lips/Radiohead binge lately. Anyhow, we talked and it turns out they neither flushed nor smoked my eighth and they returned two of my buds for me to ration so I'll just enjoy that this weekend and then hold off until summer. Thanks again for the advice. Maybe someday they'll decide it's ok for me to smoke in the house, which would be cool.
