Haha actually that was something I tried before, doesn't work very well because the they turn off when you open the door and blow smoke into them. Much of the smoke escapes into the air and the room you are in will smell like pot.
I also have a vent in my bathroom, it isn't exactly air tight so the smell seeps into the back room anyways.
What I have found to work extremely well is my furnace, diesel burning, has a metal pipe with a flap which allows air to circulate up the chimney. The flap can be secured open by placing a screw driver on it. As long as I keep my bowl close to it and blow all my hits directly into the pipe it is all sucked up the chimney.
