yup, chocolate worms. a few years ago i bought 2 chocolate bars, one for my mom and one for me. my mother opened her's first and noticed the dust that was on the wrapper moving. i opened mine and there was the same thing. after a heated phone call with 4 different supervisors we put the bars (wrapper and all) into a ziplock bag and mailed it to the distributor. they mailed us back 2 bookletts worth 50$, and a written appology from the plant manager. i guess if the bars sit long enugh or if air can get in the bugs will grow.

I'm never eating a chocolate bar with almounds in it again, they really should have a date stamp on each choclate bar wrapper.

just like any food, chocolate has a shelf life. Unfortunatly, the fda lets them get away with not stamping a date on them. it must not happen on the regular, cause other then my story this is the second time i heard of it. I still eat chocolate bars......... just not syphony bars.

It might be worth checking into.

Why try sueing them? Did the worms harm him? Call him names? You would end up spending $500 a day for a lawyer just to have a case. Not worth sueing over man.

Yeah man, that's sick. I'd take the free candy bars and move on in life. Don't see sue them, get real.

Okay on January 26th me and my wife bought 2 white choclate and almound hershey Choclate bars! after coming home from shopping and then getting high outside, we came inside to sit down, and watch a movie and eat our chocolate bars for a munchy snack, first my wife opens hers and starts eating it, enjoying every bite, then I start to eagerly open my candy bar wraper, when i do I first notice its broken in many places and some powder spills out, then my wife starts spitting out whats chocolate bar in her mouth. I look back at my chocolate bar and notice little brown worms squirming on my choclate bar, I almost drop it in disgust! my wife is going on how gross that is, and tells me to throw it out, which at this point I'm quite disgusted as well, but I go into our computer room first and take a few pictures of the worms first. The pictures didn't turn out the greatest, but you can still see the worms. The next day I send an e-mail to Hershey with the pictures attatched, days go by with no response, so i send another e-mail, more days go by and still no response so I send one final e-mail. I would have called but I work during there business hours, so i had to wait for till lats friday to finally call them, when i get on the phone with a hershey repersentive she has a southern drawl accent so she from the southern states somewhere, and I tell her the situation and then she tells me she's sorry for the disgusting circumstances, and then tells me she will send me a panphlet to tell me aout the meal worms. The thing that disturbs me the most is that is such a common occurence that they have a panphlet on it????????? and they are sending me 20 dollars in gift certificates for hershey bars?? I'm not even sure I wanna eat another hershey bar ever again, and 20 dollars seems like an insult to me, i wasn't going to post anything about this untill I got a hold of Hershey, and now that they have addressed the situation in such an usatisfactory fashion I feel no regret about informing people of this situation. Sorry if the pics are not satisfactory but you get the general idea! Hershey is Evil!

I had that happen when I was little with chocolate milk. Never touched chocolate again.....nasty shit.

Thats true, it is better then nothing, just disturbed that this stuff happens on a reguluar basis that they have a panphlet on it...

Ow yeah, don't sue It does suck but that's life. Would you sue the biological small farmer for having worms in his apples? No?... Then you should treat Hershey equally, the big paradox of ethics.
