i agree w/ whoever said this might be a more spiritual - anxiety related thing. what you say about feeling like your life is "unreal" might suggest you are awakening to a deeper reality. the reason our regular everyday lives sometimes seem unreal is that (in a way) THEY ARE. modern life invents a whole bunch of useless and meaningless shit for us to engage ourselves in, and when you look at people objectively, going about their business they think is so important, chasing after this and that, they seem really silly.

people ARE alien, in a way. your mind is allowing familiar things to become unfamiliar, as if you suddenly arrived in this world with no prior knowledge of it, and so nothing makes any sense. you have to realize that society DOESN'T make any sense, peoplle think they know whats up but we are all just lost in an irrational world. no one "knows" whats up, they just delude themselves into thinking life makes sense and that everything's totally normal.

in reality the idea of "normal" is an illusion. there's nothing wrong with you if you're seeing that.

BUT there are ways to learn to deal with it, to see existence as an exciting mystery rather than something scary. at FIRST it is scary, but then you start to see the incredible freedom available to just live life as this big fucking mystery you will never understand. people are weird and thats the truth.
