White widow first grow
Thanks for the advice guys and girls, I'm abit low on cash, so I'll probably have to stick with the MHbulb for the meantime. Anyway, Here's the plants this morning. I fertilised the plant's again with Phosphrate fertiliser and the yellow leaves havn't gone. The new leaves are starting to get yellow tips, so I think the problems getting worse. It can't be light burn because the other plant is at exactly the same height, anyone got any idea's?
Anyway here are the pics, look out for the yellow tips on the brandnew leaves on one of the plants.

if the tips are yellowing and becoming dry and withered(dead) then your problem is over watering/salt build up try flushing and begin feeding with half the dosage of ferts u currently use

yeh I thought it could be over watering, I cut down to about once every 3 days or until the top 2 inches or so of soil are dry, however it has not made a difference. I might just give them one more dose of all round fert and leave for a few weeks to sort them selfs out. for some reason i just got a nose bleed whilst typing this...how rare!

Plants grown with hps light only, tend to grow tall and thin. That means a smaller harvest. Plants grown with mh light only, tend to take longer to flower but the harvest will be larger. If you were to only use one type of light, metal halide is suggested. Some growers say they prefer hps if only given the choice of using one type of light, so this is something you will have to decide by experimenting.
You can't use a standard high pressure sodium bulb in a metal halide fixture, but you can use a metal halide bulb in a high pressure sodium fixture of the same wattage. I didn't think this was possible till several years ago when someone trusted told me it would work. I have used hps bulbs in mh fixtures, whenever needed arises, ever since
A 250 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 2.5 foot by 2.5 foot grow area. (6 plants or less)
A 400 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 4 foot by 4 foot grow area. (12 plants or less)
A 600 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 5 foot by 5 foot grow area. (18 plants or less)
A 1000 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 7 foot by 7 foot grow area. (30 plants or less)

Well, it's been a while since I've updated, as I lost my camera. I bought a new one so here are the plants today. They've been flowering for about 6 weeks or so, not as much bud as I expected, but hey, it's my first time and i've made mistakes that i'll learn from. By the way, I invested in a 400w HPS, seems to have bucked them up abit

Edit: it seems i have misjudged how long i've had the plants for. I just looked at my first post on the 27th feb which means they're only about 2 months old, so they can't have been flowering for 6 weeks. How long would you estimate they have left til harvest? a few of the hairs are brown now.

looks like you are in early-mid flowering stage, I would say at least another 3-4 weeks to go, but dont listen to me, go by the trich colors, you want 50% cloudy 50% amber trichs
