I've found in the past that the male flowers don't really impose much danger to the crop as long as you keep an eye on them. To keep them under control, pluck the ones that you can reach before they open. If they open first, then give the flower a light mist of water then pluck it. For the flowers you can't reach, avoid hitting those plants with fan air or air current to keep the pollen from getting airborne. Additionally, when the flowers that you can't reach do open, spray them GENTLY with a narrow jet like stream of water to wash pollen to the floor.

If it becomes apparent that your plant has completely reversed gender (became a male) and you're sure it's gonna contaminate your garden, pull the bastard out (carefully without releasing more pollen, I wrap them in a garbage bag before sawing the trunk). This is a last resort, however, you may avoid ruining your crop.

Your momma plant should be ok with the airflow you described. If possible, move your exhaust outlet to the bottom of the room. This will draw pollen to the floor away from the buds
