Hey cafe friends... I liked Reagan as well. Funny, I was in the service for most of his presidency and I saw the military culture change dramatically. He was no friend of pot smokers, but I wasn't token then anyway (too risky). I disagreed with most of his policies, but I couldn't help but like the guy. He had a genuine sense of purpose.

Unfortunately--rolling in his grave, perhaps--he spawned a wave of nationalist zeal that's responsible for trashing the U.S. Constitution. You don't have to be a liberal or conservative to figure that one out... just look at the senate voting record for the Patriot Act. Why didn't they just call it the "Big Pullouza Crime, Smuggling of Contraband and Narcotics, terrorist abatement Act"?
