ok, so i think my cat is addicted.

it all started a few weeks ago when this friend of mine told me that i could get my cat, pumpkin, high. we were just chilling, smoking and listening to music and anyway he was petting my cat and said "hey lets get pumpkin high!" and i was like "does that really work?!" and so anyway we took pumpkin into the small bathroom and hotboxed a joint.. and blew it in her face. it kind of pissed pumpkin off but then we could totally tell she was high and we were laughing out asses of. she started just aimlessly walking around the livingroom, and rolling around meowing, and then she started staring at the wall and hissing. WTF!?! she must have been seriously tripping. after about a 1/2 hour she went to sleep and didnt wake up until the next morning.


so, it happens to be saturday and i decided i will light up to start the day off fresh. i smoke up by myself and when i get out my cat smelt it i think, and anyway she made a b-line to my bathroom and started meowing at me. i laughed my head off, and decided i would take a couple more hits, with the cat, since it seemed obvious that she wanted to be high again. i was glad that i had this new little smoking buddy who liked getting high with me.
i decided to smoke again that afternoon and night, both times i got my cat high with me. i figured it was pretty harmless and i liked pumpkins company while smoking, shes really a wonderfull cat. at this time i thought it was completely harmless...boy was i wrong...



ok so sunday morning i wake up, and as soon as my cat sees me she walks twords the batroom door and starts meowing and scratching the door. ok so this is getting a little weird i thought, so i decided to smoke by myself this morning. ( i know i shouldn't reallyyyy be smoking in the morning but it was a weekend so whatever...) as i smoke (with door closed obviously. and also i should mention i live in an apt so there is backyard or anything, and i dont want to stink the place up so i smoke in the bathroom) all of a sudden pumpkin starts FREAKING OUT, like screaming and running againt the door and meowing and crying etc...and i yelled "PUMKIN SERIOUSLY CHILL OUT!!!!" when i came out of the bathroom to calm pumpkin down she gave me the saddest look, like "why did you not smoke with me??" and looked really upset, and i didnt want to upset her so i smoked her out again. the story goes on for a week and a half of the same thing. me smoking her out usually once a day in the afternoon or night.


ive noticed that pumpkin never crawls out the window and goes outside anymore, she just sleeps all day and i think shes gained weight. she just really lazy and fat now and, she walks slower and stuff..i dont think its healthy for her. but if i smoke by myself she freaks out and slams herself agains the door i dont want her to hurt herself. today i noticed her coughing and gagging...so this is definatly bad for her..but if i dont smoke her out she just stands by the bathroom door ALL DAY!! its like she only associates pot smoking with the bathroom. i have this little kitty shirt for her, my friend suggested that i tye dye it and just keep smoking her out so she can be a stoner kitty, but like, i dont think its good for her health and her productiviy..she hasn't killed a bird in a while. the past two days i decided not to smoke her out. i left some bud out on the bedside table last night, probably a 1/2 gram, and in the morning IT WAS GONE!!! pumpkin is stealing my weed!! i mean thats really fucked up!!! i told her "bad pumpkin!!" and i could tell she was totally blazed when i told her her eyes were all red. so i doubt she took it seriously. anyway what the hell should i do!?! i think pumpkin is addicted she steals my weed if i leave it out and sits by the bathroom door all day!!?! please give me advise i dont know what to do. should i take her to the vet and tellthem whats happened to her? and sorry this is so long im high and got kind of into writing it.

Dude, you should not let her smoke for a while I'm not sure it's healthy for pets to be stoned as much as us. Smoke her up once or twice a week not daily. Eventually she'll get used to not smoking daily. Try smoking outside the house so she doesn't slam the bathroom door. Definately don't go to the vet the could arrest you or take your cat away for abuse. Also it would be healthier if you blow it in her ear not face. She'll absorb more THC and she won't get a cough.

Why not dude? I seriously dont see how you could be taking this serious. A animal that loves weed to me is no more serious than a human that loves weed. The only thing that should be different is because the cat doesnt know where it comes from. It seems like all they know is that a magical smoke comes around and they inhale it and feel strangly different. Just dont give it to him for a while and see if he still acts lazy and shit.

In this sit i think i should count me blessings since me dog hates getting high.
I was sitting outside in garden having a toke and there was virtually no wind so the smoke was just building up in front of me, me dog came over to say hi to me n as she walked through the cloud she started coughing chronic and she was fuckd...starring at her paws for few hours n fell asleep.

After that weneva she smelt weed in the vicinity she stays well clear of me..mmm

I'd like to know what logic you used to come up with the idea that you can get a animal high through second hand smoke. It's impossible for a person to get high from second hand smoke, or else drug tests would be useless. There was a princeton study done on this to solidify the accuracy of drug tests. I'll see if I can find the link but you would have to be in a extremely small confined area and have constant smoke coming in for, I believe it was 12 hours, to have marijuana show up on a drug test. So basically, you didn't get your cat high.
