Did you shake out R'wool after soaking??? You have to shake it out like a freshly cleaned paintbrush to remove excess wetness...Otherwise seed will Drown.

If you keep having trouble with rockwool try rapid rooters...
Ihave use dboth, but am sold on rapid rooters for my beans...Now. goodluck lw
