Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

Ok, you deffinetly need a ph and a ppm meter, but under your circumstances (having RO) you can do without for a min. Your RO water should come out 6.0-6.5. The nutes your using have buffering solutions in them and will drop it depending on how much you put in. You gonna have to change your solution out a lot more than you would normally to keep control but You should be cool until you can afford one. But get a ph meter ASAP.
GL with the grow..I have a very similar setup so If you need help just ask. Later

I've grown several crops using Peter's 20-20-20 along with tap water. I almost never check the PH. They grow big, fast, and healthy.

White snoop, my r/o ph water is 8.1. I got a new r/o unit and the ph is really high. What does that mean? Did the water company change the ph level? My old r/o unit, the water came out 7.1. Funny.

You should be OK, I think...what he said. I find that if you use ROwater, once you mix in 3-part...you almost always get real close to 5.6-6.0 and I check mine every time... but if my ph meter broke and I was still using 3-part; I would trust it, until I got my PH meter..In closing the 3rd argument above was...GET a PH meter! LOL...lw
