Cannabis is a plant, it's not a drug. This society has classified it as a drug. I classify a drug as something that is used as a stimulant and will eventually kill you. It's funny how marijuana is the only psychoactive drug that doesnt harm you...Have you noticed on all those "anti-drug" commericials the only thing they can say about weed is a little something like "marijuana..it effects your decision." But yet they had that commericial going on for a while about two parents who had a daughter who took ecstasy and it killed her. So no, cannabis isnt a drug, it's a...social enhancer like Mary Jane said .

I don't see how smoking a joint is any diff. than having a glass of beer. People have a drink to escape reality, relax, and to feel good. Isn't that the same with cannabis? I think it is anyways.

But it is a drug, it affects(effects?) the central nervous system and isn't a food so is therefore a drug. Being a drug doesn't nessecerily make it a bad thing though.

Come on people, cannabis is a drug in every sense of the term. Even if you want to ignore the fact that it contains chemicals which enter your brain, bind to cannabinoid-specific receptor sites and cause changes in thinking and behavior...if you want to say it has medicinal value then it is a drug.

Even though it only seems to be a few of you claiming it isn't a drug, everybody needs to realize. Or else convince me otherwise.
