Institutionalized:

Sometimes i try to do things and it just doesnt work out the way i want it to. and i get real frustrated. and like i try hard to do it and i take my time and it just doesnt work out the way i want it to. its like i concentrate on it real hard and it just doesnt work out and everything i do and everything i try it never turns out. its like, i need time to figure these things out but theres always someone there going "hey mike, you know, weve been noticing youve been having alot of problems lately, you know? you should maybe get away and like maybe you should talk about it, youll feel alot better" i go "no its ok, you know, ill figure it out...just leave me alone, ill figure it out, you know? ill just work it out myself" they go "well, you know, if you want to talk about it, ill be here, you know, and youll probably feel alot better if you talk about it, so why dont you talk about it?" i go "no! i dont want to! im ok! ill figure it out myself!" but they just keep bugging me...they just keep bugging me and it builds up inside!

I was in my room and i was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything but then again i was thinking about nothing. and then my mom came in and i didnt even know she was there she called my name and i didnt hear her and then she started screaming "MIKE MIKE!!". i go "what? whats the matter?". she goes "whats the matter with YOU?" i go "theres nothing wrong mom" she goes "dont tell me that! your on drugs!" i go "no mom im not on drugs, im ok, im just thinking, you know? why dont you get me a pepsi?" she goes "no! your on drugs!" i go "mom! im ok, im just thinking!" she goes "no! your not thinking, your on drugs! normal people dont act that way!" i go "mom, just get me a pepsi, please? all i want is a pepsi" and she wouldnt give it to me! all i wanted was a pepsi...just one pepsi and she wouldnt give it to me...just a pepsi!

Hey...thanks for the song link...my first time listening to that genre of music..another eye opener for me..you and Babyface are getting me in touch with the good part of your generation..really. That song made me sad... I never really looked at teenagers going through "things" like that...that is sad....it makes it painfully obvious that if someone is not perfect then just give you some "crazy" drugs to "help" you of course because society doesn't have the time to address real needs...and I really liked the part where it says basically I did everything I was supposed to and you still institutionalize people in "their" best interest...thats what I really detest...people making choices for others like they know you better than you know yourself. Thanks again....that is how I felt listening to everyone discuss me like I wasn't even in the room..but it's all good now...I don't think about it so much when I am sober because I just get sad..so when I get the chance to burn me a good one I will talk if you really have an interest or questions..I am going to be gone for a few days but I hope your still on the board when I get back online. Oh yeah..haha...I saw your pics...very cute :thumbsup: ..and I like the ones showing where you are taking care of your pearly whites:thumbsup: I caught that haha..hope your mouth is better today..I never had a root canal but hear they can be VERY painful..just so you understand also..I do have a daughter but missed alot on her growing up...so thanks for showing me some of what I missed out on...she was a mystery to me when I made it back home and even though its many years since....anyway..I don't want to get sad this morning so I am shutting up..thank you for sharing with me and for listening to ME and not everyone else that does not even know me...thank you....OH! And put a helmet on when your on that skateboard..protect that brain!!!! Oh yeah and that song, that was probably inspired buy a generation in the early 80's.Thats when it was made, making the band probably in there late 30's as of now.But I think its still got its touch.
