A trojan is a back door program, enabling a certain port / ports to open when attempted to.

Chances are this is just a script kiddie, using something simple, like Back Orifice, Sub 7, or netbus... All of which are programs for network administration and allow for connection via a network ( the internet is one enourmous network).

Some trojans are capable of sending out information, such as IP address, open port numbers and things to that effect.

Chances are, if you have this on your system, the person who ACTUALLY posted the link, will never even access your computer, and someone else will, unless of course, the person with the trojan passworded it.

Roughly in one hour, your computer will be scanned at least 10 times by random locations across the globe, showing really, that kids now a days are a bunch of loosers.

My advice to you, is if you ARE infected, or think you ARE, use an antivirus program, or use a free one ( search google for trend housecall ) it's free and pretty good.

Oh and for clarification, I know not EVERY kid does it, it's just mainly done by teenagers seeing as someone who actually knew what they were doing wouldn't need to use a trojan, for example, I'm 21 and could quite easily get someone's IP address and trace them, for example.
    But I wouldn't do that

A trojan is usually a tool used buy a script kittie to open a back door on your computer so they can remotly connect to your computer to try and steal personal inforemation (ie credit card numbers, phone numbers, names, addresses) THink about a trojan hourse, they wheeled it into the city then opened the door and suprise the enimies were in! This one was placed in my temporary interent files for internet explorer so i first cleared my files and cookies then I scaned my c drive with nod32 and it didnt pick it up again. I'd suggest doing the same if you clicked on the link.

I did click on it,thought it was a dumb joke, but then again I'm not real savvy on computers,so now you're saying I need to get an anti virus scan,I'm going to have to find a free on the internet and try that, how will I know if it's cleared,or even if it's on there,or is it a given since I clicked on it...oh my...my head hurts now thinking about it.

it will only hurt u if hes a asshole and actully uses the backdoor,he can then basicly remotely controll your pc (change files, backgrounds, colors, open cd drive, delete files) other stuff they really isnt harming to your pc but really fucking annoying.

I would also like to add that he may not have known the trojan was there he could have found the link on the web and simply found it humorus then posting it all over forums, the "you are a idiot" thing has been going around for prob 2-3 years this is the first time my anti virus has found a trogan from it.
