Another great example of why there is supposed to be and should be separation of church and state. Art, math, science (especially science) should all be taught as they have been taught...without the influence of religious beliefs or fanatical rantings.
If you don't like what's taught in the public schools..tough shit...send your kids to private schools...be they muslim, catholic, hebrew, etc,etc. Then they can get all the religious programming you can throw at them. My daughter graduates from public HS in one month...Thankfully, my kids missed out on most of the politically correct crap the schools have to deal with today. All three of my kids were given a combination of home school, catholic school, montesorri and public school. I can only recall one or two teachers that I seriously wanted to slap during conferences because of their "I know what's best for little Johnny" attitudes. And you're absolutely right...they are caving in to the whiney demands of religious fanatics.

This is absolutely ridiculous. What's next? I live in an incredibly diverse area with Muslims, Christians, Jews, Whites, Blacks, Chinese, Persian, Japanese, Koreans, etc. etc. Seriously, a walk down my street is like a trip to the UN. If the local public schoools were to eliminate everything that might possibly be offensive to anyone I don't think they'd have anything to teach anymore.

If I were to move somewhere in the Middle East do you think that country would be so sensitive to my beliefs? Fuck no! I'd have to wrap my wife and daughter up like god damn mummies and have them walk 5 paces behind me or else they'd probably get stoned. And I don't mean that in a good way. So why the hell do we have to be so sensitive to them?

I've lived in another country and I had to accept the local customs, language, etc. Nobody made any special attempts to make life easy on me simply because I was a bit different. I dealt with it and, quite frankly, I feel I'm a better person for it. It gave me a whole different perspective on things.

Again, why the hell do we have to be so sensitive to the Muslims? Is St Paul afraid they're going to riot? Aren't we supposed to be fighting a war on terrorism? If you ask me, caving in and making every attempt to pacify the local Muslim population is simply admitting defeat. We're not going to lose by having another 9/11 happen. We're going to lose by simply giving up and giving the Muslims what they always wanted in the first place: the destruction of our own National pride and culture.

Bottom line is that they are now living in the United States. Or anywhere else that they have adotped as their new home. If they don't like it here they can GET THE FUCK OUT!!

I really wasn't too suprised to see that this had happened in St. Paul. I had the unfortunate expierience of having to live in that shitty ass state and city. Talk about boring and out of touch with the rest of the country. I wouldn't even fly over that state again.

In Canada if an East Indian, Chinese, or Arab takes their driver's test, they may do it in their own language. Now, if I was in their country, they'd make me do it in their language, not mine - English. So, Fengzi and his comments are bang on the money!
