Recently I have been sick as hell.Flu and stuff.But i just smoke bud and i feel good for a long time.But now i am sick again but i got no bud

Right now I'm sick...got the runny nose...deep cough....stomach ach blah blah...anyways....what I notcied is whenever I am sick and I smoke bud, I feel better, some times it takes my sickness away, now I don't know if it's just all in my mind or what...anyone else every smoke while sick? and if so how did you feel?
