hearing all these prices makes me so jealous!!!

I live in what you could call a "wealthy" town, and prices in the valley (where I live) are rediculously high.

1/8 of danks - $50
1/4 of danks - $85 (sometimes $90 if the guys an ass)
ounce of danks - runs close to $300, i've seen people pay $315

Obviously theres plenty of mids/shwag and whatnot, but I tend to stay away from that. The only upside I can think of is that it's always a really high-grade bag, but it still wrecks me everytime I drop $90 on a 1/4.

You are new to the game and there is a learning curve so keep your purchases small until you know the ropes a bit.

Its hard to judge the wt of bud by eye because the density is so variable. I used to buy 1/8ths mail order and they were a bit bigger than a pack of kingsize rolling papers. But I just got some dense hydro that makes a mush smaller package.

Spend $50 on good weed - if you havent a tolerance this will get you very stoned 5-10 times. Its typical for the price per gram to go up as the wt goes down. Ask the dealer what wt he is giving for $50 and weigh it when you get home. If its short then put the cost down to your education and next time tell the dealer that the weight was short last time and this time you want a square deal. Once he knows he cant bullshit you he wont try - he makes a good profit from you anyway.

Even if you can blow $100 w/o worrying - dont let the dealer know that - make him think you are tight with your money - he will treat you better.

PS I have paid as much as $1000 for an oz of kind bud and as little as $250 and when I grow my own 1 oz usually fills a 1pt mason jar

Dude, bedake... an eighth is an eighth of an ounce. One ounce equals approximately 28 grams. Do the math. What you've been getting is not an "eighth". What do you pay for those 5-6 gram bags?

Well obviously an 8th is 3.5 grams. Meaning its the 8th of the weight of an ounce, an ounce being 28g.
