W00t got my purple chiles, and they mailed me a free pack of lemon basil heirloom seeds. I'll let you know how they go latewood, with pics. I've been having some seeds germinating in soil and some germinating a paper towel. I can see the ones in the towel swelling up, they're definitely not as thin as they were when I got them, I compared them sided by side. So hopefully only a few days more, then I'll have baby pictures.

Also has a book that lists over 40,000 species and what seedbanks have them and how to get them. 9,500 vegetables. Kinda cool, i might order that book when I get paid. Check out this monster bell pepper!! Its off the bell pepper plant in the previous pics in this thread.. The plant is near its end of life now and its tossing massive peppers that look and taste SOOOOOO much better than the store bought ones. One of the most effective things I have found so far is Carboload by AN.. Im not particularly an AN fan myself but when it comes to veggies that stuff did seem to pack on some mass and size. I picked this one a little early because Im making some goulash and needed a bell pepper.. otherwise it may have fluffed out a bit more round like the store bought crap.. but most of that is just air space anyways.. and you dont want to know what they spray on it to get that look I promise.

This bell pepper weights so much.. Look at the massive walls of this puppy.. Way thicker than the wally world peppers! it will surely make some fine goulash!

great looking pepper...I have had quite a few of them myself.

not cut out the seeds and stick them in an envelope to dry...then you will ahve seeds that are adapted to your growing philosophy

My peppers. That purple one is the peruvian purple chile. Pretty cool, but I think I fucked it up. The leaves don't seem to grow right, they start off rolled up, but they are un-rolling slightly as they turn darker green. I think I'm gonna feed them with next watering, 1/4 strength dose fox farms grow big.

The one in the second pic is my healthiest looking one. The other green one with the fucked up leaves is my retard. I always have at least one retarded plant, no matter what I grow. The big one is growing a lot per day now. The smaller leaf on it wasn't fully developed only like 18 hours before this pic.

    looks a little dry, there...

I would not feed nutes too early...most of the farmers I know just water adding 1/4tsp per gallon superthrive...until they are ready for transplant...Now I see you already have your seedlings in bigger pots...That's OK, just remember...no nutes for seedlings. Wait until they have 4-5 tiers of leaves then give them a full strength dose of nutes...followed by a week of watering. (that should only be 1-2 waterings a week for plants that small. 2-3 times a week as they start drinking more) peace. Glad you guys are having a good time. Look forward to seeing you at http://hygronomics.com/forum1. That site is getting ready to get bustling, and I am getting ready to start a bunch of varieties of veggies. L

I gave them a very weak feeding of grow big & big bloom with some superthrive the day before thanksgiving and I came back after thanksgiving dinner and they've already grown like a whole new set of leaves and the purple one sprouted 4 new growth shoots from leaf crotches. I think they liked it.
