    Is cannabis addictive?

First we all gotta separate addiction into two different categories: physical and psychological.

Psychologically, of course its addictive. Like everyone has said, anything pleasurable can become psychologically addictive.

I think what the big argument here is whether or not its physically addictive. In EVERY neutral party that I have read, it said weed has a very low physical addiction. Keep in mind, this is lower than every other drug out there (caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, etc.). But, it is mildly addictive. The big example for this is how an experienced toker needs more weed to get high than someone who is completely new. Tolerance is a big sign of addiction.

Also, most people I know (myself included) who are everyday tokers will experience withdrawls generally opposite of weed's effect. Things like lower appetite and such. Again, since the physical addiction is so low, the withdrawls are as well. It could be something as simple as a headache that people will just pass off as a natural occurance. But... its still there.

Hell though, the addiction is so damn small that it doesn't matter. I mean, sugar is probably more addictive.

    the computer
    music
    soda

the correct term for marijuana, and all of the above things is habit forming, not addictive.
It is not MY definition, it is the definition found in any english dictionary. And no, I, along with most other people in the world am not addicted to those things based on that definition, those things do not cause psychologic dependancy for most people; marijuana does.

    Physical vs. Psychologically HMMMMM....

By medical defs. MJ is not physically addictive, then why do some people have a hard time quitting? A much more difficult question.....Perhaps a better question for someone thinking of starting or evan someone who smokes is, are you weak willed?

I do not want to insult anyone but it is a fact some people are strong willed and some are weak. Do you find yourself saying " yeah, that sounds like fun" a lot? OR do you say " Hey, guys! let's go do ????? today". You're generally a leader or follower, nothing wrong with either, the world functions best with leaders and followers. However with that said if you are a follower look at who you follow, do they smoke all day long, do risky things, have no plan of where they want to be in five years? If so, recognize this and make a life plan yourself, then stick to your plan. If you can't, you need help.....get it!

If your a leader, or as most teens call it "popular", if you have no plan you may be leading a lot of people to nowhere....I am not saying you're responsible for those around you but if you call them friends shouldn't you be a little?

I know it seems I went off topic, but i do not think it is a simple question with a simple answer. Simple answers are for those that choose not to think or learn. Life is complicated, but if you plan, it can become easy.:smokin:

OK done lecturing, back turned toward exit......throw paper and spitballs now.....and there will be a test tommorow.........Susie!

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend."

    lol

Im neither a leader or a follower....i tend to lead my self....
somtimes I will suggest ideas....and somtimes I will agree to ideas.

Once at school a psychologist came into our class and taught us about team work....we had to do a few different activities together and at the end he asked us questions about how we could improve as a team....
...He asked me how I thought we did as a team, and I said " ok but no-one was listening to anyone else."
to which he replied... "your a leader".....when infact I wasn't try to lead at all....we already had a team leader but no-one was listening to him....

so yea....I can't remember what that has to do with anything...lol....and I know it has nothing to do with weed being addictive.....lmao

Weed is only addictive to certain people, such as myself, who have "addictive personalities" If I had an endless supply, I'd be stoned pretty much all of the time. That's my opinion...

    Is cannabis addictive?

Yes all my problems can be blamed on weed, I have no memory, I see things, and my dog has jus died, cuz I ran him over, because i was high on cannabis. None of this is because I'm a stupid bastard, no its the drugs, the horrible, infesting drugs......and oh she calls to me once more, its time to line my blood with that chemical.
If anything can be defined using the phrases 'some people', 'some of the time' and 'in some circumstances', followed by 'there is a possibility' 'that maybe' then its a crock of shit definition pointing to nothing in particular really, wake the fuck up people. Because if some people, some of the time, under certain circumstances, MAY become 'addicted', then it is equally possible that, some people some of the time, under certain circumstances, may not get 'addicted'. So to answer your question, we can certainly say, that some people (don't know who), some of the time (what time? fuck knows!!!), under certain circumstances (they're being beaten in to submission, and force fed marijuana) can maybe, lead to a definite psychological (aint even gonna get started on the bullshit applications of this word) addiction. Yeh cuz insomnia, loss of appetite and crankiness happen at no other time in a mans life, than when he is withdrawing from drugs, even ppl who have never taken drugs, this is due to a new phenomenon known as 'passive intoxication syndrome', hormones evaporated from the users sweat, permeate the pores of skin of the non user, causing him or her to undergo psychotic symptoms, even if they don't notice, these symptoms are crankiness, insomnia and loss of appetite, the increased use of marijuana over the past 3 decades, as we can see by this pretty chart, coincides with the number of cases of depression, suicides and teenage pregnancies, yes marijuana withdrawal, caused by 'passive intoxication syndrome', creates teenage sexual monsters, and I base this on absolutely nothing , look at the chart, no other answer could possibly be at hand here!!!!!!
