Dental Braces...
Ok I was wondering who has had braces here? I have a small area that needs closing and I have made my decision. I'm gonna go ahead and have 'em done. So I came here to talk to those that had 'em. Do they hurt? If so how bad? Lol.
Anyways I was wondering...from the looks of my gap how long do you guys think I'll have the braces I'll be getting on for? I provided a picture of my teeth that needs fixing. I put it in a link instead of attaching it so it can be your decision to click it or not to make an estimate.

Dental Braces...
hehe crazy picture, the camera is actually in your mouth it looks. But they dont hurt, not any worse than burning your finger on a roach or something. Braces are a gradual thing remember, i had em in the 6th grade for like a year and was supposed to wear a retainer and only did for like 2 months. Now i think my teeth are back to where they were before, but i personally didnt see what was wrong with them in the first place
But yeah they arnt bad, the only thing that bothered me was how i had to go to the orthodontist all the time and have them tightened or something, and putting them on is a bother, just pressure and hands in your mouth

Get braces, it's worth it but after the time of braces you need to wear a retainer. Honestly though, I'm glad I had them. Had them for 2.5 years total, a year and a half in 5th grade and then 7th-8th. I don't wear my retainer though, fuck that, it fucked with my lipring when I had it so I never wore it + now it doesn't fit lol. But yeah, they really aren't THAT bad once you get used to them.

That gap isn't big, nothing I'd worry about.

I don't believe in braces at all. Altering the bone structure of your face to make yourself prettier is right up there with smashing and binding a woman's feet to make them smaller.
A lot of the times these "doctors" just want your cash. A friend of mine went into one of those aesthetic smile centers for a cleaning and came out with a $33,000 quote to "fix" his mouth. Insanity.
Before you get braces, talk to another doctor or nurse about your mouth. Ask them if they see any future problems as a result of how your teeth are naturally. If they say no, leave the Chinese torture device alone.
