Dental Braces... Man, no offense, but you'll need maybe a year or two of braces. Originally Posted by orangeman Originally Posted by orangeman That is fuck all! I had to go in once every 2 weeks, have them tightened, and my mouth would hurt for the next 2 weeks. By the time I went in again, my mouth had just gotton better and I had to endure it again. Keep in mind my teeth were fucked, and the dentist I did see, was very old fashioned (cheap), and did things in in old fashioned way.

We didn't have much dental coverage then either, so it costs my folks about $500 every month just to keep my mouth in order. I still wear a cemented in bottom brace, behind my bottom teeth, to this day. It's never coming out unless I want my mouth to go bad again, but I hardly notice it.

In your case though, no, it probably won't hurt anymore then going to a normal dental checkup. Yours just need to be pulled together by the looks of it, so it won't be bad.

 Good luck though!

Dental Braces...i had to wear palate expanders on the top and bottom for several years, then spacers for a while, then top and bottom braces for another 4 or 5 years then retainers for another year. i started when i was 7 or 8 though, because my teeth were royally fucked up from a young age. if it werent for all my dental work i would look seriously malformed.

if i were you i'd look into those invisiline things. your teeth are just a bit off, so i'd avoid getting little chunks of metal cemented to my teeth if i had the option of removable braces. if you get regular braces, take damn good care of them, because if you dont you'll have permanant marks on (and possibly holes in) your teeth from where the braces were cemented on. getting the braces put on and taken off is a giant hassle, very uncomfortable, but hey, it only happens twice, and for me it was a small price to pay for having presentable teeth. getting them tightened is uncomfortable, but not unbearable... akin to a mild headache that lasts a day or so. it only happens once a month or so.
