One thing I would say you are over watering for sure. Another thing is the plants can take that kind of heat if there is extra CO2 in the air. I have read that if there is enough they can sustain temps around 90 -95. I found this way from a book and is cheap way to raise the CO2 levels.

rnf232s Reviewed by rnf232s on . Too hot? I have two 125w lights I bought home depot, they say they are for growing plants, they are pretty hot however. I'm growing these in my closet, so far they are about 8 inches tall. They're in Miracle Grow vegetable mix potting soil, or something like that. Problem is, it gets to be about 80-86F in the daytime, at night it's around 75 I guess. I have a small fan circulating air in there, not sure if it's dropped the temps any tho. I think they are starting to die, but i'm not sure of what, I Rating: 5
