My first time:

I was freaked out about trying it so my friend took me out to the middle of this field where no one was around. I had decided to start smoking so we bought a bong for me, we blazed it in the field, and I remember I was so nervous lol.

Then the magic kicked in. I was looking at my hands and started noticing the stoned feeling I had never felt before. My friend was lighting all the bowls for me, I think we used a bong b/c I was afraid of harsh smoke or something. I finished a hit and I guess he was feeling stoned because he asked me to look up, like "Just look at the trees dude."

I looked at the tops of the trees swaying around the perimeter of the field, in the middle of this gorgeous hazy summer day, pure blue sky and perfect weather. I was so fucking amazed, this was my first stoned experience and I'm so glad thats what I was looking at. It felt like I finally noticed for the first time what a beautiful world we live in, like the beauty is RIGHT HERE and yet for some reason I had been missing it.

The rest is more hazy memory, we walked through the field and I felt like a desert nomad, I felt like I realized there is no free will, I had lots of philosophical thoughts and I felt like I couldn't speak. When we sat down again on a boulder, I couldn't stop staring at this single beautiful flower standing up straight in the sunshine, it became my whole reality, it was fading in and out of existence and I had no idea who I was or what I was doing. All I knew was how awesome it is to be alive, and I have never forgotten that moment. Especially the trees I first saw when I looked up, and that crazy flower.

I feel like this experience changed my life in ways I can't imagine.
