WE DON´T GET THE DWC!
I talked to my local grow suplier witch is an experianced grower aswell and we talked about the American Deep Water Culture...
We really don´t get what the big advantage is when you compare it to rockwool or something elkse like Mapito. I started out growing on Mapito and Rockwool but stopped because of the better quality of growing on earth. I like experimenting with all kinds of soil bacteria and had good results with them... I´m never going back to hydrophonics.
Btw.. What is you´re havest per Watt I´m on 1Gram per Watt now :thumbsup:britewire Reviewed by britewire on . WE DON´T GET THE DWC! Sorry you don't like hydro man. Maybe you haven't had enough experience with it. Soil grows are very slow compared to hydro. I have total controll. When your other mediums become toxic your just about done. If I look like problems are starting I can change res and flush with clean water. Try that with soil. On my last grow with 100 watts, I got 112 grams in 2 months off 5 plants. The 6th one burned on the light. I cut all the burn off and it went another month and got another 226 grams off one plant. Between 6 plants I get 4 to 6 oz's a month. Small sea of green. You can also go organic with hydro. Once you see the growth rate of hydro you will not go back. If it's done right. There is a bit of work to it, but once tuned in you can sit back a watch it grow by the miunte.

WE DON´T GET THE DWC!
But with all the excessive oxigen in the water you´ll get a whole lot of side branches with no use on the bottom of the plants, or isn+t that a real problem?

That's not a problem. Start flowering between 6 to 12 inches and they will double in size, any bigger and top light will not get through the canopy. This is the same for any inside grow. That's where some flouro side lights come in if needed. Most hydro growers learn this the first grow or so. You can also trim side branches if they get too tall or some crop the top buds when ready and let the lower ones go a week or 2 extra for the lower buds. Hydro is total control. The oxy in the water only helps the whole plant, I have not seen alot of side branching unless I trim the side leaves to promote side branching.

I grow soil and hydro...like both, but yield is 4-5 times more in DWC...lw
