Vapir One problems, please help.

hey guys,
i got the vapir one vaporizer a while ago and its been great, but now all of a sudden when i turn it on, it makes this popping noise inside the handle behind then little moniter and buttons. it sounds liek its overheating and is about to explode or something. im really pissed off and want it to work but i have no idea whats wrong. if anyone could help thatd be great.

oh and i bought it used so i cant do the warranty or anything, but i dont think it was broken when my friend had it cuz it worked great for about a month.

OK I was pretty happy with my Vapir ONE when I got it a month ago- it didn't match up to the Volcano, but then it's less than a third of the price, so I was quite happy.

But then, the other day when I was warming it up ready to slot in my ethnobotanical plant disk, the fan just stopped working. No slow-down or anything, it literally just stopped. I was very surprised, because it hadn't had a chance to overheat- it was on for about 2 minutes. I left it alone for a while and tried again, but still nothing. Everything else was working- the digital display came on and the heater worked, but the fan was dead.

I probably shouldn't have, but I was so pissed off I opened the thing up to see if something had burned out or a connection had come loose. I could see nothing wrong, but when I put it back together, it worked. I thought I'd inadvertently solved the problem, but then a couple of days later it happened again, exactly the same. Since then I haven't been able to get it going again at all. I would've registered the warranty, but Vapir seem to have made it impossible to do online, despite what their manual says, and I just never got round to posting the form within the 15 days.

Thing is, I'm going to Amsterdam on Tuesday and I really don't know whether to seize the opportunity to buy a Volcano while out there or even to buy another Vapir ONE. This whole situation has kinda put me off the vapir now, even though I invested in the balloon inflation kit which I've hardly used.
PLEASE HELP!

yea dude the vapir one sucks ass. its all about volcano or vaporbros. the only thing i dont like about the vapirbros ones is the tube can come off and ur weed spills.

Vapir sucks; it was designed by New Agers to be an incense burner. When the market balked at it, they found a new use. That is why the first one leaks like a sieve. They have worked on it, but the company is bogus people. They closed an Ebay sale we had to get rid of the one we bought to do the review on at cannabisfarmer in the forum reviews because we used their company name. They would not reply for the article either.

Do we have anything good to say about Vapir? Yes, buy the volcano if you have the money or a Vapureyes if you donâ??t. Either way you are better than that crap.

Ok I brought this up on Vapor-Info and a guy there told me that this problem has arisen before. It seems that if you hold the unit upside down whilst turned on with the fan set to H, and tap the fan casing a few times, it gets going again. I've tried this, and it has worked so far- and when it hasn't, leaving it for a bit and trying again later seems to do the trick.

I can't think what could be causing this, but it seems a bit shit when I can go to the local cheap shop and buy a pocket fan for £1 which never stops working until the battery runs out, and yet vapir can't get their fan to last more than a month. But at least I'm getting some of my money's worth out of it before it dies altogether.

Hmmmm, my take - Go for the Volcano! I have a friend that has had one for a year and loves it with no problems. I have an old heat up, tube use model, which I hate because it uses a ton of electricity being on so long. The Volcano does it in one quick step. Clean up is easy too, just buy another inexpensive cooking bag. I'm getting a Volcano just in time form my harvest in June... :thumbsup:

if you got it off a webste, e-mail em and tell em it is malfunctioning, and you didnt do anything stoopid with it, they SHOULD/HOPEFULLY offer to have it fixed or replaced, specialy if its new new.

DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH IT, JUST GET THE AROMED VAPORIZER.. ITS THE ONLY VAPORIZER ON PLANET EARTH THAT IS THE PERFECT VAPORIZER... NO DANG BALLOONS OR FANS, JUST TOKE IT LIKE A JOINT.. AND ITS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE FAMOUS VALCANO AND DEFINATLY FAR BETTER.. I HAVE USED VAPORIZERS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW, AND THE AROMED IS INFACT THE BEST FUNCTIONING AND RELIABLE VAPORIZER U WILL EVER OWN, AT LEAST UP TO DATE.... MY VAPIR ONE IS DEAD ALSO, INFACT IM GLAD, BECAUSE IF IT DIDNT DIE, I WOULDNT HAVE DISCOVERED THE AROMED;. VAPE ON!

An update for you all:

I sent off the Crapir back to the supplier- hopefully they'll send me a new one! In the meantime I broke the bank to buy a Volcano, and I'm loving it!
