    Mom needs help...

    Hello guys,

I'm posting this cause I'd like help... as you know, I'm a newb... so I'm winging a lot of the stuff...

Well, when I cut my clones (v3.0), I had to place my mother plants into their mother cabinet... when I placed the plants in there, I accidentally snapped the entire top 5-7 inches from one of the girls... I didn't notice until a couple of hours later...

So, I cut the top part, some quick soil mix (ratios??? no idea), rooting hormone, and wished her good luck.

Well, the soil is still wet, so I haven't watered... only the 1st and only watering. The clone was looking good... until 2 days ago... top leaves started turning, um a little brown.

Being a cutting/clone, I'm not sure how to proceed.

Can it be given water, SuperTHRIVE and Schlutz Cactus Juice? Can I give it the same water I give the actual mother plants?

It's under no light... just, ambient light. The little pot is hanguin' around in my kitchen... no CFLs or anything... just, you know... house plant.

It'd be cool if I could make a new mother out of this clone... as my present mothers are pretty, um, monstrous.

Could you guys please look @ the pics and give me some tips and suggestions?

    Thanks, I really appreciate it...

    Wuhuuuu!!!
Dude, I'm really happy you posted Thanks...

Legs... well, since I placed her in soil, I haven't checked... let me uncover some dirt right now.....

    ....

Ok, just uncovered a little top part... saw nothing... just the stem with white rooting powder... should I uncover it completely to check out the roots?

BTW: I have CFLs hanguin' around... I'm just not using them, so I don't kill it that quickly... But, if need be, I can use the CFLs...

    gK, thanks buddy!

    GREAT!!!

hey... if you are going to try to root her in soil... it should really be a 50 -50 soil perlite mix... and you need to keep her moist at all times... ideally you will have a dome for her
that you will keep on 20 hours a day...

getting roots in soil could take 2-3 weeks....

you don't have a rockwool cube?

    love

if you can put a CFL on her, that would be great.. 6 inches from foilage is GOOD...

Ahhh Garden... I though you where going to tell me to blow some chronic smoke into her, hold my left nut, dance for 2 minutes, and pour some water...

    LOL!
Seriously, thanks for the input... I'll follow your instructions to the letter tomorrow... I'm just too tired today...

Thanks dude! I'll give an update tomorrow...

what i would say to do is take it out of soil and put it in something moist and open.. roots need oxygen.. so i'd say a wet paper towel.. and get that rooting hormone in there.. be easy on them, the roots are fragile.. the plant no longer has a root system and is VERY vulnerable at this point..
