its just MJ. brought to them from cambodia. my dad said that when he was over there (67-70) that he smoked weed every day, in red rooms just like the one shown in the movie, and even on patrol/ambush. platton is a very true movie, but in truth, combat was much more feirce, much longer, and way more killing.
