LIME
Lime
Contains:
Calcium (Ca)
Function:
Important to filter other nutrients, aiding absorption
Promotes strong cell walls & sturdy stems
Used in the vegetative stage with N, decrease during flowering
Deficiency produces cell-wall collapse (structural failure); curled leaf tips; stunting
Use gypsum instead if your soil is alkaline
Magnesium (Mg)
Function: necessary for photosynthesis
Deficiency produces yellowing on edges & between veins of older leaves
Recommended Product: Crushed Dolomitic Limestone (not palletized)
Determine how much to use by testing the pH of your soil
Don't apply lime at the same time as you apply fertilizer, and try to do it two to three months prior to planting.
Miscellaneous
All the fertilizers you add are useless if the pH is too low or high because the nutrients get locked up in chemical forms the plants canā??t take in.
Enjoy.
Its Fryday
Everday.
Peace
