Ok I'm sticking my neck out here, but does anyone know what the first song played on MTV was? I remember thinking this was awesome!! But what the f**K happened to it? Is there another channel to compare to the early years? :dance: :stoned:

Do you have digital cable, or satellite? vh1 classic is pretty similar to early MTV, it basically is early years MTV lol.

they really ought to pull the Music part of their name...they have more commercials than video's now. but yeah, VH1 Classic is excellent along with FUSE. even mtv2 is decent sometimes, they still have headbanger's ball (altho not as good as it used to be either, what with all the growl-metal)...but as far as mtv is nowadays, trash it.

I've heard of that. I got rid of cable, got tired of paying for channels I didn't watch. Waiting for a'la carte cable that's supposed to be comming. I have checked out VH1, I want continuous video play without all the ads, crappy filler shows ect... :stoned:

for a couple of years I had an MTVX channel, 24/7 metal videos, no ads, no interruptions, then it vanished without a trace, anyone else ever had this channel or know if it still exists?

mtv sucks...i watch fuse
