Friendship Bread

Okay.I have a recipe for friendship bread.It takes about 10 days for the batter to ferment.At one point you divide the batter and place the batter in 4 new starter bags.I am willing to send people instructions and batter for free if I can figure out a way to send it.It would be cool to keep this thread going with people whom receive one saying what part of the country they are from..

As, just 2 days ago, I learned for the 1st time in my life about this friendship bread.... not from your thread, but from my gf's mother... she explained what's done (just as you said), and she gave us one of those bags... No we have to pass it on...

My grandmother and mother used to make bread like this all the time. It just involves keeping a jar of "starter" refrigerated. You don't actually have to pass it around each time, it's just the novelty of it some people like.

I want to know why people give out their email addresses, but don't write them in full, all you're doing is making more work for the people that want it and have to decipher your code... anyone want to give me a reason why some people are doing this?!

Because there are programs written to crawl the web and record email addresses. If it's obfuscated there is little to no chance it will be picked up and then sold to spammers. Ever wonder why you get a new email address and within a week are receiving 200 spams a day? This is why.

Search bots that search for _____@____.__
when they find that pattern, they know they've got an eMail... and they'll spam the shit out of you...

So, you separate it... it makes it harder...
