I think americans get too much stick. They are not all money obsessed, materialistic, Bush loving, flag waving, arrogant assholes. Only about 75% of them are:thumbsup:

Pretend your married with several childern, your in your 40s-50s, your not rich, but your not poor either, for the most part everyone around you has the same amount of money, goods, etc....
Then one day a young couple in thier 20s with kids moves in next to you, they have more, and better cars, thier kids have better clothes, food, and medical care,thier opinions carries more weight in the town...

I get pissed when I see old white ladies getting searched, because some are to politicaly correct to target Arabs...
It would be the same if the Brits targeted Arabs,Africans, etc when looking for the IRA- most would be Irish!
I'm still waiting for the Arab community in the US to take out full-page ads in the papers declaring thier support for the war on terrorism....

the fact is not all americans are stupid aroogant fat bush lovers. But not all arabs are terrorists. And alot of americans need to think about what their government did to warrant terrorist actions against them. Too many people are prepared to think "terrorists attacked us because they're muslims and they hate the west" America has a long history of intervention in the middle east that people readily ignore in favour of believing what they're told by the people in charge.

The way the US goverment got into power was dubious to say the least, yet not enough of a racket was raised to impeach Bush,, the people who say nothing are as guilty as those who actively support the man.
Thats why some believe the Americans are fools not only for allowing him to get into power in the first place, but even bigger ones for not ousting him from his position of power.
