I am probably going to order one of these two if they will work for my entire grow. I just REALLY need to know if they will sustain my plants in a SOG type grow.
If these will work could someone point me towards a nutrient solution page on here.....m4ster chef Reviewed by m4ster chef on . It would be great if you have clones...quick veg smaller plants...or for seedlings until you determine sex,...
If you grow with this system from seed, then you might be able to cull males and have enough room for flowering plants, or just grow in every other site.
Just, mho, goodluck
Are you starting from seed?
Do you already have Mother plant to produce clones?
You can build your own, after some research, for less, and design it; To 'fit' your needs...unless you want to grow lettuce...lol.later.lw

another consideration would be; at least it was an issue with me. What size hole saw can you afford? A 4.5-4.75" holesaw for a 5" netpot, costs about 45 bucks...hope this helped you a bit.later.lw

You don't have to buy a hole saw. I just use a kitchen knife and a pair of sheet metal snips. Trace the pot for the hole. Stab or slash with knife. Then cut out circle with tin snips. Easy.
As far as size of pot, it depends on big you plan on growing. Latewood is right to use a large pot if you're growing large plants. You will need the weight, otherwise the plants will tip over. You could tie them up. Weight wil definitely be a factor.

Wow...so are you telling me i dont need pots the size of 2 liter bottles like i am using in my first soil grow?
I am only looking to get about an oz per plant. Will 3" pots work ok if im only looking to do a SOG?
I will buy the 32 pot set up if ya'll think i could grow a SOG from start to finish in it.
What do you consider "large"? How big of a plant (in harvested grams or oz) is about as big as you can go in a 3" pot like the ones i found?

Master Chef soil and hydro are way different when it comes to pot sizes. If you are using 2 litre bottles for flowering in soil that is way to small. I wouldnt go anything smaller than a 3 gallon grow bag in soil.
As for the systems you are asking advice on. Both of them look like cheap p.o.s. to me. The first one especially. General Hydroponics makes a system similar to those and have heard nothing but good things about that system.
If you want to do an SOG why dont you just get a flood and drain with rockwool cubes. Seems to be what most people use.
Hopes this helps out a bit.
Peace

Someone tell me if this system is any good
Would one of these systems work for a SOG if i was to stabalize the plants somehow. Im lookin for a good combination of time/yeild. I have about three good sized grow spaces to utilize so im in no shortage of room.
So would any one of these systems work for someone who wanted to grow more plants, less size and harvest quickly? What kinda yeild would you be looking at for the 36, 3" system?
Another option i have is to veg in one grow room and transfer and flower in another. I have a nice small closet for mothers and i just really want to know how long i can expect to grow out of a system of that size.
ANY help is appreciated and i appreciate the others who have already posted. I just cant seem to find any even halfway definitive answers about clone-harvest times and yeild sizes.....

SOG is a grow method used for clones...there is no SOG without you having clones...
Buy a hydrofarm recirculating 8 bucket, system, if you insist on buyhttp://cgi.ebay.com/8-pot-Hydroponic-Waterfarm-indoor-garden-growing-system_W0QQitemZ7744512817QQcategoryZ519QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewIteming retail.
or just buy an flood and drain set-up...It does not get any easier...
OH yeah, I think that is a piece of crap that you are looking at...It would work, but you can build it for 1/2 the price.
