Yes, there is truly something unnerving about this kind of situation. Stepping in some snow somebody tracked in while living it up, toasty style in a comfy pair of socks. The 3rd level of hell is composed primarily of this sort of punishment, I believe.

I usually take off my shoes immediately or put on a new pair of socks. I can't fucking stand it.

when i hike this one trail to the bridge of nowhere i gotta cross the river like 50 times and then like 50 to get back.my socks and shoes feel crappy but it aint as bad as dropping your lighter in the water and have no way of smoking in a beautiful spot.

Oh yes...how i hate it. What sucks more is walking around outside in the rain and having to deal with wet shoes AND socks, Ick!!!
