I've got a little question while we're on the subject....GERMING IN ROCKWOOL........Should I use any Grow Nutes ...Or should I allow the seedlings to find their feet for a few days before I start feeding?

before using rockwool...you must soak in ph adjusted water for 24 hours...drain off water, shake wetness out of rockwool and put in seed...DO NOT use any nutes until you have a nice healthy little root system growing out of r'wool...goodluck I would buy the rapid-rooters, they are organic, easier to use, and can be used for soil or hydro...

you might be ok...nothing is set in stone...I just know that it is safer "no nutes, but with that said...I did a cloning deal that I used nutes 1/4 strength and I'm smokin'it NOw!...

Man I wish I was smoking some too!.....Good news man...the seed has cracked and the bean is keen!!!!

I did some "scientific" tests and "discovered" something most paramount!!!

    I'm using a pH testing "kit".....not a digital meter!!

What I was doing wrong was to rinse the small testing vial [ a 1 millilitre flask] with TAP WATER in between Ph tests......My tap water is very hard [Ph 8]...even a few drops of this hard water in the test vial was contaminating my little 1 ml of test solution and raising its pH by 1 degree....and giving me a false reading!!

Therefore the solution I knocked up for the first 3 seeds that failed...was probably around pH 4.5...instead of 5.5....

    urika!!

We always use 18/6... it´s better for the plant and will have less stress..
