In the 4-5 years I've known my ex, he disappears atleast every 6 months for a month, if not two or more. The first few times I asked about what he had against him, the first was for a bar fight (in which a guy died) and then the second (and last) time I asked, it was for murder, now I don't bother asking haha. They dropped the charges when the evidence 'disappeared' but anyway, he was in Charleston, SC at the time of most of the lock-ups..It's a lot like the movies, from what I've heard; a guy tried to fuck him in the ass and he took a shank to the guys throat and made him suck him off. He got the gaurds to give him cigarettes and shit; don't know how. I guess if you don't know how to take care of yourself in there it's pretty shitty but he never minded it much, he said it was like his way of punishing the government, they have to pay for his food, clothes, and all that shit. So I guess it's like, if you don't have a family or anything + can take care of yourself, it's a free room and food.
