Cruises, Customs and Sniffing Dogs

I was going to take someone's advice from here and prepare some pot brownies for my cruise departing from Florida and going thru the Carribean. After some research, dogs can still sniff out THC in foods. even if you strain the leaves out thru the bc butter method? The only thing that deters dogs from smelling pot is coffee. But putting something inside of something else supposedly gets shown up on security devices at airports. So you might defeat the dogs at customs, but not the airport to get you there. Customs does random checks- so its all a luck of probability as a whole. I dont drink because I have a drinking problem, so a completely sober cruise is unsettling for me.

The cruise doesn't care for drugs being boarded... you'll be fine... just watchout in the airport...

And don't take weed OFF the boat... take weed INTO the boat, but not OFF.

Anyways, you're going to the Caribbean... dude, you'll get weed in any of the islands there.

Can't give you much info on your trip deal except to say that the old foodsaver might be a wise investment. But I can relate you your issues with the missus. I'm in the same boat (no pun intended) myself with my own spousal unit. Kind of sucks since she used to indulge when we first got together.

I recently went on a cruise and had no problem getting weed on the boat, all i did was put it in a bag then another bag and put it in a shampoo bottle with shampoo in it. i think this is the best method to bring weed on a boat. another thing is im sure you can get away from your wife for atleast an hour so you can search for weed on one of these islands cause ive been to almost every island in the carrabian and i found weed everywhere and some good shit too. happy tokes and good luck

My wife and I went on a Carnival, or Celebrity Cruise about 10 years ago, and when we were coming back the cruise director told everyone to be clean for the arrival - he even used expressions such as "smoke it, drink it, swallow it, flush it or whatever you have to do" to finish off anything illegal. I didn't have anything with me, so it wasn't an issue.

Then again, I went to Hawaii, and as soon as we hit the streets a longhair native said that he had some great wowie. I passed on it, and regretted it because the opportunity didn't happen again for the rest of the vacation. We had a great time, regardless.

When youve fucked up on alcohol and blacked out repeatedly and done some bad things to your wife, she's a little sensitive about substances and I understand. But I know weed could/cannot repeat those same things. So its not a rational approach to ban weed bc of the mistakes of alcohol. But I get by.

On the shampoo bottle. My understanding that may work at the cruise, but not at the airport. The hi end search machines can supposedly sense if something abnormal has been placed inside something else. They'd be able to pick up the image of the bud inside the shampoo bottle? If not, people could stick weapon that way as well. More obvisous than weed, but still.

You're ALL being a little too paranoid. I've carried on planes (and a cruise ship) well over a dozen times without difficulty. However, I will say that since 9/11 I always check my dope instead of carrying on. I usually use a small Aleve bottle or film cannister and just put it in my shaving kit. I just don't try to carry any real weight. However, I am paranoid about coming back from high profile places like Jamaica with ANYTHING. ...just my two cents.
