From what I've read here, and in his other posts, I would have to say that friendowl is one of the few people on this board that probably does really know what life in the hood is about. He's probably also one of the few who would'nt piss in his pants the second some shit really did happen.

How do I know? Other than right here I don't think I've ever seen friendowl say that he's hard or a badass. He's made some pretty intelligent posts about what life in his neighborhood is like but never goes out of his way to act like he's some hot shit gangster. Someone who's a real badass knows it, they don't go around telling everybody how bad they are.

Most of these other so called "gangstas" or "thugs" (we all know who you are so I don't have to mention any other names), however, are most likely little wanna-be's who've watched too much tv. The other few who do live in a bad neighborhood are probably scared shitless everyday. They act tough here because they know if they do it out ont he street they'll wind up dead.

EVERYBODY IS JUST LOOKING FOR AN ARMY TO JOIN, WHETHR IT BE ON THE STREETS OR IN UNIFORM. IT GIVES YOU A SENSE OF BEING, IMPORTANCE AND KNOWING THAT YOU HAVE YOU'RE FRIENDS BACK AND THEY HAVE YOURS IS ALL ALOT OF PEOPLE WANT.

Obviously I livein London, so it's "kinda" different, but we have shit jumping off all the time, only we are English and don't take liberties like the Yanks do with their guns. We got guns, but we also got bricks and bottles and ashtrays and bats and golf clubs and CREDIT CARDS (Lots of damage available with only a credit card)

I guess being English my view isnt welcome, but all I have to say in favour of the "hood lifestyle" etc, is that its blaitently clear that you have to hold your own otherwise libertys will be taken forever.
