Late planting for smaller plants???
I'm growing out some nigerian nightmare from reeferman this year. They're going in mid-mayish in Southern Ontario and should finish late sept. I wanted to take some clones from these plants at some point and plant them later into the season (plant the clones maybe around early July). The idea is to get a bunch of short squat plants from these clones (around 40g - 60g a piece?). Would this work with a bit of training? Or would that be too early/late into the season to get the plant size i want? (tricky questions, but if they're any growers around the area that may know, I'd love some suggestions for timing etc.)
It would be nice to have a small bonus crop if I can get the clones out successfully, just thought I'd get some opinions.
Thanks,

Awesome, I guess this year will be a little bit of an experiment anyway. I think I'm gunna try putting them out at different weeks and seeing how they develop, see which week is ideal for what I'm looking for.
Thanks again,
BB

if you start those clones off rooted in july you could get much more than 60g try about 100-150g's. cloning is a hard process for first timers though. Requires alot of patience and care. definatly read everything you can about it. I started a clone last year and got about a half pound wet of one plant so...i think it dryed to around 4 ounces which is good for a july plant. It actually naturally topped itself (tiptop just shriveled up)so the yeild may have been better.
