    New grower with questions

I am a first time grower planning on growing in my dorm closet. The dimensions are 2.5'x4'. I plan on buying a 400 watt HID grow light, and I already have the pots set up. The clones are from a cannabis club and are good quality. I also plan on weatherstripping my door.

    Questions:
Will mylar significantly increse my yeild?
Should I start with 1 or 2 plants?
What soil/nutrients is the best for the price?
What can I expect my yeild to be for 1 or 2 plants?
How much fan power will I need?
Will I have to worry about my roomates smelling the plant and is there an easy way to get around this?

    Thanks for the help.

    New grower with questions

im not a pro indoor grower so im gonna avoid some questions but... you should start with at least 3 plants. you can look at as :
    33%=male
    33%=female
    33%= hermie

hermies arent too common but you have just as good a chance of getting one. You dont have to worry about your closet getting cramp for the first couple weeks, you just need to grow until around preflowering or whenever you plants will show sex, then get rid of the males and hermies unless you want to use them? Out of three you will porbably get 1 or 2 females. I've grown a little without mylar so im sure if it increases yield but it really helps get light to all parts of your plant. You just need enough fan power to get some circulation in the air. With most strains the ordor will become noticable... probably around flowering time. I'm not 100% about the fan and the soil thing, Goodluck.

Well, there are carbon scrubbers and other air purifiers you could buy at walmart or lowes. I use glade plugins to try and mask the smell.

The plant mainly reeks during flowering. Anything you do will only HELP... its still gonna stink. I doubt you can prevent your roomates from noticing.

Regarding yield... could be anywhere between a half an 8th and a few ounces. Theres alot of factors to affect your yield, but the most influential is how long you grow the plant before flowering it. The longer you veg, the more bud you'll get.
